Zuri Notes (“App”) is developed and operated by dBA — DB e Associados, SU, SA (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Mozambique. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our application.
1. Data We Collect
The App collects the following data to provide the service:
- Audio recordings: When you record a voice note, the audio is temporarily processed for transcription. The audio file is sent to our server for processing and is not stored permanently once transcription is complete.
- Text transcriptions: The text produced from transcription is stored in your account so you can access your notes.
- Account data: Email address and authentication information required to access the service.
- Usage data: Basic technical information (device type, operating system version) to ensure the App functions correctly.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Transcribe your voice recordings using artificial intelligence services (AssemblyAI for transcription, Claude/Anthropic for text processing).
- Store and display your transcribed notes.
- Improve the quality and reliability of the service.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to process data:
- AssemblyAI — for audio-to-text transcription.
- Anthropic (Claude) — for intelligent note processing.
- Supabase — for secure data storage and authentication.
- Vercel — for infrastructure hosting.
These services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and do not use your content to train AI models.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with the technical services listed above, strictly to provide the service.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications.
- Data isolation per organisation (Row Level Security).
- Secure authentication via Supabase Auth.
6. Data Retention
Your notes are retained for as long as your account remains active. Original audio files are deleted after transcription processing is complete. You may delete your notes at any time from within the App.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your notes.
8. App Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
- Microphone: To record voice notes.
- Storage / Files: To import existing documents for transcription.
These permissions are used solely for the features described and may be revoked in your device settings.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete that information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the App or by email.
